I dropped my precious DVX

To my horror, my DVX100a, and the jib-like apparatus to which it was attached, fell from a height of about 5 feet onto concrete. The tripod mount ripped out and there were a couple of of dings on the body and the lens hood. Other than the cosmetic damage, the camera appears to be functioning fine.

My question: Even though the camera appears to be in working order right now, is there anything I should be on the lookout for that might not pop up until later? Have any of you guys ever dropped your DVX hard and lived to tell about it?

Thanks in advance.

I dropped mine real hard after it slipped out of my hands. the dvxuser battery was damaged real bad. the camera stuttered in the beginning then went back to normal.

my LCD has been putting out rainbow colors once in a while ever since then.

Check the footage to make sure the heads were not knocked out of line... look closely at the edge's for any lines or black areas.

Turn off the OIS and shoot for a few minute's. Turn on the OIS and shoot for a few minutes... everything functioning properly?
