I-Doser

No, but I did buy a pet rock once.

This is one of the worst gimmicky products I've ever seen... Is it a joke or do people actually buy into this stuff?

It actually works...

I've seen some reviews, and people said that it messed them up in ways lol...

My friends did it at school and they could feel it really fast.

It all depends in how you listen. CLose your eyes, lie down, dark place...It will probably work.

Alright, I'm d/l this free demo crap cause it kind of sounds interesting. I will not be giving them any money, but just by registering on their forum you get three "free doses"

Let's see how this goes...

Why have a beer when you can have the Alcohol dose? Lol, it's 45 minutes long, and once your done it, your hammered. No hangover either.

They have songs/doses (they call them doses) that cur head aches, that make you drugged up, that make you thinking your happy, and sad, that make you feel like your on the edge of the cliff....Here, read this....Awsome! You can download them to!

The science to this is very real. Binaural beats are used to trick your brain into thinking audible frequencies are its own brainwave frequencies. With concentration you can actually fit your emotions to the audible frequencies you are hearing through your pair of headphones.

However, I highly doubt that all of the drugs give you any kind of similar reaction to the actual drugs they claim to resemble. I wouldn't be surprised if 15-20 of the different "doses" make you feel the exact same way.

I actually did try this a bunch over the summer. A friend of mine who thinks these work 100% recorded them them as .wav files and I tried a bunch of them out. I got some results but not always.

The sleeping one actually put me to sleep and I didn't wake up until 13 hours later. It was late though and it was probably due to me having to be laying down in a dark room.:cheesy: I actually did fall asleep on my back though. I can never fall asleep on my back because it's not as comfortable for me. It also usually takes me around 2 hours to fall asleep, but I fell asleep before the audio file was over (around 30 minutes I believe). I guess it must have worked.

The nitrous oxide dose gave me the most regular results. I didn't actually laugh but I felt sort of airy and relaxed like actual nitrous oxide makes me. This could have also had to do with laying down in the dark though.

Peyote made me really mad for the night and act "stand-offish" according to my girlfriend but who's to say that wasn't actually me.

"Hand of God," the $200 dollar, 30 minute file was actually really interesting. The audio patterns in that one were much more enjoyable to listen to. Instead of white noise on top of random frequencies, it was kind of pleasant and interesting. You know how when you are in an incredibly light sleep, and you wake up feeling like you're falling? This happens to me 6-7 times during the 30 minute file. I also sort of get what feels like tons of adrenaline followed by extreme lack of energy over and over until the file ends.

I also took the "Lucid Dream" file. Supposedly if taken before bed, your dreams will become more vivid and what-not, and you can come closer to a lucid dream. Well, to avoid going into an off-topic discussion, I won't go into detail on how obsessed I am with the sciences of sleep patterns and lucidity and all of that. Let me just say that I spent lots of time last summer trying to achieve lucidity often. I would become lucid during a dream about one night every 10 days. The other days my dreams would be incredibly realistic and vivid, and I would remember them quite well. I wrote them all down and they're really interesting. Anyway, out of the three times I took this audio drug, I was lucid that night in my dream twice. I consider that a success.

If anyone has any questions, ask away.

I agree that it is Gimmicky. That being said; using beats, hums, and chants to induce altered states has been around a long time. The samples one the site sound clean and along the lines of many other relaxation CD's. There have been studies that show that binaural beats can alter the the wave activity of the brain. However, I highly doubt that many (if any) will experience the same effects as with the states that are induced by actual sex or drug use (or rock and roll ). The site is clearly marketing to a specific group by selling the experiences of "sexual stimulation" and recreational drugs...

I think that many of the same effects can be accomplished by meditation. Stopping to sit down alone with the CD's is essentially the same thing. I do think that the CD's would be a good tool to aid in the meditation process as they would help to override outside interruptions (noises). I think I will check out the free tracks for the hell of it.

EDIT: looks like you were posting at the same time Drew. Funny, I too have been obsessed with lucid dreaming and dream control for many years now. The "Lucid Dream" file would be interesting to try. I'm sure some of it has to do with the fact that listening to the CD in the first place makes one more aware come dream time... In the same way that many texts on lucid dreaming suggest some form of meditation focusing on the idea that "I will become aware during my dreams tonight" (or something along those lines). The key idea being that you are focused on becoming aware of a dream as you fall asleep. By the way, lucidity 1 in every 10 is great. Sounds like you were pretty bent on making it happen. Lucidity and dream control is amazing no doubt. There is a thread around here somewhere about this topic...

I'm almost positive it has to do with being aware. I was doing those little mantras throughout also. I feel pretty stupid when I tell people who aren't interested in dreaming about that side of me, but it actually works. I was taking vitamin B6 and magnesium too before bed, keeping a dream journal, etc.

My first lucid was a shock. I went, "Oh my god. YES! wait, wait... don't freak out. relax. what was I supposed to do? I don't know... uh... there's my dog!" I then pointed at my dogs tail and made it disappear intentionally. I obviously couldn't think of what to do. I then fully realized I could do anything, and I woke up. Bleh.

Since school has started, I'm not getting enough sleep each night to reach REM stage long enough to lucid. An advantage of trying to achieve dream lucidity is getting incredibly vivid dreams even on nights when I'm not lucid. I recommend trying to anybody.

I want to try nitrous. Any ideas on how to achieve it right?

High quality headphones, dark room, eyes closed, comfortable.

Nitrous was good for me when I was in a bean bag chair with a fan blowing on my face.

Who knows what works though.

I'm not saying any of this actually works. It's cool to believe and try it out though, even if it's just a placebo effect.

Quick happy never works...

That one's probably a placebo effect. I listen to it. I then anticipate being happy so I'm nicer to people. Being nice means others are nice back which makes you happy.

Anyway, what others have you tried Como?
