I did this commercial video for a Gym/sports Club with a GH1, 100mbps Hack

It honsetly didn't move me. I felt the cutting should be much faster. The shot composition realy wasn't very interesting, not to mention the lack of models gave it a stark appearance. The lighting was flat. I think a recut could help huge in terms of sucking in the audience. I'm not trying to be harsh. just trying to help with an unbiased eye. You may feel i'm way off, but it's my honest opinion.
 
The footage itself looks good, although I agree with the comment above.
who wants to go to an empty gym?? you start off with an empty gym, with one guy-not very inviting. later on in the video, you start adding more and more people in the shots.

In America, Gym's are social places. So you want the place to look active, with more actors using the equipment(re-shoot). Make it look inviting, and fun.

I do like the pans and slides-you did a good job shooting what you shot. You just didn't sell the "product", in my amateurish opinion(if I'm allowed to even have one).
I still love the "feeling" of the GH1 footage over the GH2(I shoot GH1).
 
Beautiful shots on a little, inexpensive camera. If you could time travel three years ago and say you shot this on a $500 camera (that's what I paid for my GH1) folks on these forums would be gob-smacked.

I would join the gym. It's lovely little low-budget promo, showing off clean, new gym equipment. Nice job. Simple and gets the job done for what I'm sure was very little cash. I don't really want a gym with bunch of disco-dancing brutes crowding me out anyhow. ;-)
 
Slow squash players at the end, and improper court movements. haha!

Good vid. I would cut a bit faster, but your split screens and a few slow push transitions towards the end is pretty cool IMO.

One overriding comment: wanna bring out that colour corrector from you NLE? Some shots were way too warm.
 
Thx very much for the feedbacks and this is the first time on this forum my video gets more than 1 feedback so i guess this video might be better than the ones i posted before or at least it's creating more reactions. And yea i agree with most of the feedbacks but when i did it i did not think about all that besides the actors and lights. Now i bought 2 150w softboxes but i didn't had them when i shot this.
The budget for this video was kinda low so i also wish i had some real actors but one actor would have probably cost more than the whole budget that i had. I think the main guy that's in this video did not do a bad job he is the guy that's working there and the rest are just people going there. I also think that it's better to have no actors than too many bad actors.
This Gym/Sports Club is really cool and calm i also don't like going to a gym where there is 100 people and you can't even use one equipment because everybody is on it. It's also a great place for kids to learn tennis and everything there is brand new.
The good part is they said they might use this to play in a cinema on a big screen before movies so if they really do it i will be there to see how a GH13 looks on a big screen.
I also produced the background music and tried to match it with the transitions of images.
