I checked the mail today...

"I checked the mail today..."

A Photo Play by TC Harrison

Today seemed much like any other day- I went to work, then had to pop over to school to turn in some homework and then to the dive shop for a tank fill. When I came home I checked the mail only to find that this was no ordinary day...

I had a package waiting for me from our good friend Mikko. Now normally I only get excited about packages from EVS or B&H... but I had the sneaking suspicion that this parcel contained something very special. First, let's examine the packaging:

Please notice:
1. The Isara logo on Mikko's return address sticker.
2. The package is addressed to Time Code Harrison- a terrific DVXuser reference.
3. The gaffers tape sealing the parcel.

Then, I flipped the package over and was amused to find:

Will the wit ever cease?

Opening it up, a note springs forward like a jack-in-the-box:

To which I silently replied in my mind "Oh, it is so on."

Making my way past the note I find the object of my anticipation. I was expecting it, but it was even more glorious than I could have imagined:

I'd heard of this chocolate only by reputation- I could instantly understand why Micco sent it First Class and bubble wrapped it twice.

Such a feast must be served with the greatest of care:

THE END

Absolutely phenominal chocolate Micco, I owe you one. Thank you very much.

Oh, I applaud you. Milk chocolate? Bah. Lindt Noirissime 99% Cocoa Dark Chocolate is pure. For chocolate connoisseurs only.

Unlike... you!

Just kidding. But milk chocolate? Gross.

^ That is the stuff. Lindt even warns that you to start with 70%, then 85%, as to prepare you for the pure cocoa taste.
The stuff is basically completely bitter. 1g of sugar in the whole bar. No sweetness at all, like eating a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa. And I love it.

I dig the dark, but I must say- this stuff is delicious!

Its an honor to have chocolate! Whatch'youtalkinbout, Blaine! All chocolate deserves respect. Except Hersheys- nasty poopoo chocolate. Tastes way too plastic. Lindt and Ghiradelli are kings.

Mikko - You are the coolest. The logo, the chocolate.... I don't think I've ever had feelings like this for a man before. :)

Great story, TC.

I love it.

Taking the DVXUser experience to a whole new level.

Like that "I Love bees" thing they did for Halo 2 way back when....

I agree with Terry.. C? what happened to K? :cheesy:

Just don't get too close PK..

Man did this thread give me a laugh! Well presented TC, you always tell good stories!
Very glad it arrived! (You scared the poo poo out of me when you mentioned a few days ago that you'd moved, but I see you have your mail forwarded. Smart man.

Now don't eat it all at once (like I do)!

- Mikko

From Alaska to Califon-i-a. That chocolate has seen the freakin world.
Close, but you missed by a bit PTO.

Well actually...

The Chocolate originated in Finland, from where it traveled with me by way of Washington, DC - Maryland - Seattle - and then up here to Alaska. From where it departed south once more to it's demise with TC.

- Mikko ... wants the air miles from his chocolate bar.
