I see no real bashing in the ad, just usage of the "ad hype" from Panny. Looks like a typical CL ad to me. Now if it said "EX1 is a POS, and not worth the money, buy my HVX" it would be a different story.

If I had the scratch, I'd snap it up since I am wanting a 2nd (and eventually 3rd) HVX.

I think he was responding to the fact that you might want to shoot your own feature when he said 19 was too young for a feature.

I'd still try to take him up on the deal and get on the Deakins shoot. You won't even have to talk to the guy once you're on set.
 
I'd be more inclined to take him up, but he misspelled deakins, cohen and a number of other things enough to where I think he isn't just lying, but might also have to wear a helmet when he leaved the house.

I feel your pain. I have ads on there and get flagged all the time. Even though I've broken ZERO Craigs List policies! Some people are just bitter, miserable souls. It takes time and effort to post these ads; I don't need people sabotaging my livilhood. I even had one guy respond to one of my ads recently in a VERY sardonic tone and at the end of his email called me a "f*cking piece of sh!t!" And for what?! This was all after simply reading my ad - and he and his cronies didn't like it for whatever reason?! Anyway, I wrote back to him in a very calculated manner. Let's just say . . . he didn't bother me again.

Yeah, Craigs List has been a royal pain in the arse these days . . .

That's pretty misleading for obvious reasons. The guy is an asshole but I can see how he can get pissed off. I think we should all just be matured enough so that when we sell our gears we don't feel the need to embellish it for the uneducated buyers.

...not saying all union people are like this..I've met a few nice people (like I said....a few....) who don't think highly of their position/status and spit on others just because its not something they prefer working with or currently work with.

I'm not at all shocked that jerks email you trying to put you or your equipment down, it happens, I am a little shocked that you would respond to him? Much less argue with him? There are assholes everywhere, (myself included) the trick is ignoring them. ignore a troll long enough and he'll go find another bridge to hide under.
