EVERY time I post something to craigslist, it seems like I get an e-mail shortly after, from someone representing themselves as a professional, trying to discredit me. Happened with my portrait service, where a d-bag called me an 'amateur kid without any real skill, posing as a professional photographer.'
This time, I was selling my HVX, and not an HOUR later, I get an email, bashing my product. I'm posting it here for everyone to gawk at. I'm five seconds from writing CL off forever. Am I out of line with my blind rage?

The camera does not shoot 1080p
Stephen Early
Assistant camera
Sent from my iPhone
Me:
it does shoot 1080p it its 24p and 30p progressive modes. it is only
stored in an interlaced stream until the pulldown is removed in your
nle.
please only reply to posts if interested in purchasing.
Steve:
That is not true 1080p it records frame rates progressively at 1080 but not 1080p. The EX1 has NATIVE 1080 as opposed to using Pixel changing on the HVX which is not TRUE 1080. The Camera also does not record 3x the quality of the EX1. We used the EX1 as a 3rd on Public enemies as well as the new show the beast along with the F23 and F900R. The reason for the use of the ex1 was that it is the only small hand held camera with an image that compares to the others as well as the fact that it shoots TRUE 1080p. The Departed was shot on the ArriCam Studio cam and the LT with Zies BP seiries glass, Arri Ultra primes.Angenieux Optima zooms and Arri Master primes. I know this because I was one of the many AC's on all of those pictures. I understand you want to sell the camera. however to go about it with falsities is not a good way to do things. Also the EX1 has a larger sensor which obviously producers a higher quality Image. The only thing that the EX1 has troubles with is breaking down the Codec. If you still don't believe this i encourage you to call tom Fletcher of Fletcher cameras or in Minnesota Chirs Beales at Cinequipt. Still need help call up Justin Conway my Union rep with the international Cinematographers Guild. You are still a young kid with a lot to learn and when you become a professional you will understand more of these things. That camera is not worth that much, it is a little mickey mouse camera which has already gone out of style due to its poor fixed lens.

an AC for public enemies, beast, and departed lurks craigslist. Odd.
One would think you'd be working.
Steve:
I was looking for a digital slr to bring with me for a feature. Good news is I have a week long prep next week for a feature that I will be first ac for 54 days. Then off to Minnesota to work with roger deacons on the new coen film. If you want to stop by and say hi I welcome you to I can show you how to use the new red. Oh and it's a Saturday which means if I were working the production would need to pay time and a half. That's why there are no union shoots on the weekends. I don't need craigslist for jobs thanks though.
Although it is good to see another passionate kid from Minnesota. That is my home state
Me:
Really? huh. Squabble aside, where abouts from here?
Steve:
Stillwater. No squables just lettin ya know what's going on.
Me:
stillwater? hm. well, there may be no sqaubbles, but there'll be a
brawl if next I hear you're a packer fan...
Anyway, I'm glad we're sorted out, and I hope the offer to come by the
cohen set in a few months is a serious standing offer. I don't meet
enough minnesotans on sets, and I'd love to see what deakins is doing
with the RED. we're considering it for our feature next spring
Steve:
Corns are shooting on panavision lynch is using the red. 19 us a bit young for a full blown feature
There is alot to learn before you jump into that. Messing up a feature can mess up your future
All that is copied, and the spelling is verbatim.
Seriously, it's enough to put me on the edge. WHY am I condescended to?
