I am fairly new with p2 files. I have used it once before and it worked just fine. For some reason I cant seem to import the files into after Effects. It works fine in Premier but when I export to AE the file does not come in. ANy ideas?

reder first the footage after editing it on ur editor then render it out as uncompressed then put it in ae color grade and do the same.

Am I doing anything wrong? the format is DVCPRO 720 30P I can import to Premire, but AE doesnt allow it in. I would rather not have to render it out as DVCPRO 720 60P I know that works , but I have hours of footage and that would take a long time. Thanks for the help

would love to find this out as well, have a lot of P2 footage (that works in FCP) but if I want create an AE project using that P2 footage, would I need to put it into FCP and export it there first? Or is there a way you can just import footage to AE? (seems like a lot of hassle if you just have AE and P2 footage :-\ )

MXF files do generaly work in AE they have done in the past. you can import directly to AE or import it via premiere useing dynamic link. For some reason I am getting an error 86:1 (or something similiar) I have found that if I recreate the file structure and move the files to the new folders it seems to solve the problem, at least some of the time. very weird. must be a codec problem of some sorts. no idea what to do
