i cant delet clips off the p2 card with cam? help

im new to the dvx world and i am having a problem that i can not always get to the delete option (it is grayed out) in the operation window. am i being a noob and missing somthing?

You have to "select" the clips you want to delete, first. If their icon doesn't have a blue outline, you haven't selected those clips yet.

ive always found this to be a dumb feature. why you cant just highlight and delete a single clip at will is just beyond my comprehension

I think the point is that it's beyond comprehension WHY selecting is necessary. I think it's thrown in there to help make sure you're absolutely certain you want to delete it, which is something I'm in favor of. Permanently deleting potentially important data like video clips you can't take again should never be an expedited process, and I like my systems to make sure I didn't pick the wrong file.

Unless that's not what you mean by select. I don't have one anymore to check on.

You "select" the clips so that it knows which ones you want to delete. You can delete multiple clips in one go, if you select multiple clips.

How do you not? You select it and choose operation->delete. How is that beyond comprehension?

based strictly on how many times has this been asked on the forum...
just seems like extra, non-intuitive steps for something that should be glaringly simple.

Well, yes, selecting does seem a hair nonintuitive, but -- how else could they have done it? If it only deletes the clip you're currently on (which would mean no need for "selecting") then it does away with the ability to delete multiple clips...
