I Am Not Creative, What Should I Do?

Unfortunately, I don't know a single person who is worthy of having a documentary made about them. I don't know anywhere cool that is worthy of making a documentary about. And I don't want to make something about a museum or a organization, unless they are interesting.

I live in Philadelphia, and wanted to stick to something that can be done in the area. I am completely brain dead when it comes to thinking of stuff to make, which is why most of my videos are ridiculously pointless for the most part.

Input or ideas anyone?

I am looking for the standard interview driven documentary pretty much. I only have 8 weeks or so.

Hi Steven,

I know I'm late in replying since you wrote this almost a month ago but I just registered.

Just wanted to let you know that when I was seeking stories to cover for my town, it was not hard finding them. Go to your local town's library, Parks and Recreation Dept. and ask what the town is planning for the residents. How about calling your local Girls Scout/Boy Scout chapter, the Senior Center about what they offer for your town? What makes living in your town so special? What upcoming events do you expect will have a great turn out? Everyone has a story and would be happy to get it documented. This is their passion you want to capture on film for them! In this business, internet with the town (introduce yourself and pass out your business cards to the town) and keep informed of what's happening in your area.

why don't you interview yourself on a busy street and have interesting freaky people walk by the camera as you tell your tale about how uncreative you are and you can't think of any interesting people to do a documentary about.
