I am having quality Issues

So, I got the DVX 1OOB, and when I film on the cam it looks amzing; however, when i upload it on Adobe Premire CS3, I notice that alot of the detail and color loses quality. I am also having compressing issues. For instance, i even tried shooting in 16:9 aspect ratio to preserve the quality; yet, i still feel like my short films are not up to part as far as quality.

Does anyone have any advice on how to improve or maintain the quality of my camera after it has been uploaded into my PC.?

I would really appreciate the advice.

thank you,
Jeff

You need to show us some footage. Try exporting an MPEG1 and Microsoft DV AVI. and they are usually very high quality. You need to tell us what you are filmming with is it 24p, 60i, 30p. Are you deinterlancing progressive footage? DONT DO IT!

Do NOT deinterlace 24p footage. That's likely your problem right there. It's not interlaced material; if you "de"-interlace it, you're just making a mess.

Using PP CS3, just capture it and edit on a 24p timeline. Then, export as progressive.

also, are you removing the pulldown? your footage looks like your not removing the pulldown.

i dont understand what pulldown is can some one explain

thats one term ive never understood

thanks
