I accidently removed a lens while the power was still on

Camera seems fine but thought I'd check here to see if it's lightly to of caused any damage?

It was indoors in a darkly lit room, so not sure if that helps at all?

Thanks in advance

I change lenses frequently with my AF100 still on. I only use "dumb" Nikon, Canon FD's and a Voightlander 25 as well as Canon L's with "dumb" adapter. I am not sure if it works OK with Lumix and other "smart" lenses.

But I have used other cameras for decades with "smart" lenses and it has never been a problem changing lenses with cam on.

From what I heard, what can happen is that the sensor will be statically charged and may attract dust.

Sensor is covered by the ND wheel. Your shoots would be pretty long if you had to turn the camera off to swap lenses.

Phew, that's put my mind at rest.

It does say in the manual to turn the power off, which is why I got a bit worried. But t doesn't have any warning next to it so I did think maybe it wasn't such a bad thing.

thanks everyone.

No problem. Of course If multiple AF100 users were to do this in unison it could introduce earth wobble. A known issue very similar to the lens check faux pas of 2011, where 10 users at a lens shoot-out pushed the lens check simultaneously causing a black hole to open up and suck craft services into the void. Truly a sad moment, as the food was good that day.
