i was just on the hyson films website im just like alot of you guys waiting for his shop to open thats why i was looking at his site but i was sad to read his father past away so i just thought i would start this thread to pass along my deepest sympothy and well wishes for the family and so the rest of dvx users can post some thoughts.

It is never easy to lose anyone in your family, as a man I may be biased to say but it is very tough to loose your dad. Having lost my dad many years ago during this season served to make it more difficult as most people celebrate. May I please join with the others here and elsewhere and offer my sincere condolences and thoughts to you Joel and your family.

truly sad to hear that about his father, purchased a mattebox off Joel, hate to see bad things happen to such good people.......RIP
