Hyperdeck 2 seems like a decent little recorder for Avid workflows.
What are users doing to avoid naming conflicts as they build a library of mxf files?
The hyperdeck wants to call everything Capture001v.mxf and such and just sort of increments from there.
Does the incremental count ever reset?
Can it be forced or accidentally reset like with a firmware update?
Will it roll over?
Is there a way to assign custom prefixes? If not I hope Black Magic considers it.
Sooner or later just dumping sequentially named mxf files into an Avid mediafiles folder is going to create a conflict.
Thinking of just using a file renaming utility to add prefixes to all the files when returning from the field. Any thoughts if this would cause issues? If everything gets the same prefix then video and audio files should match up.
With a few more features, hyperdeck could be a real winner. Right now it seems a little incomplete.

Just appears to missing a lot of features.
