Hxv 201 shutter speed for slomo-destruction...

Hey !

I am going to shoot a short music video as a student with the panasonic hvx 201.

What shutterspeed is suitable for recording someone " destryoing" balloons in a living room?

I know maybe it is a stupid question as it is a matter of taste, but i wanted to record the footage at 60p and later play it back at 24p to make some slow motion out of it.
What exactly would the shutterspeed change in that specific scene?
Lets say, if i´d shoot with a shutter speed of 1/100 in comparison to 1/48 or something like that?
Any experiences or sample videos with people doing some fast motion recorded slowed down ?

thanks to anyone who can help me out

you need to shoot at: 720p 24 / 60
your shutter speed will depend on lighting in the scene. I use 1/1000 and do some other tweaking.

to quote Barry: "your camera is a light collection device. feed it and it will reward you".

But the slower the shutter speed , the more motion blur i will get in the final image, right?
i want the exploding balloons somewhat sharp if that even is possible in 60 fps slo-mo..

My advice would be to do test shots. Be sure to slate and document what your settings are and start destroying some balloons, lol...if nothing else it won't be a boring common day :)
