hi, i have a sony hxr-nx30. I think my video is a bit jerky even though the stabilization is suppose to be good. i do handheld shooting.

Do you think the NX70 would be better in terms of stabilization for handheld shooting and less jerky ? (i think right now that toward bigger camera would be better for handheld shooting

thanks in advance

Absolutely NOT!!!

The NX70 stabilization is average at best, even in active mode. It's not one of their "steadier" models, and it's overall handling is pretty atrocious due to the weather sealing. For example, the lens ring has very limited number of things it can do, and changing what it does requires menu-diving. On the NX30, the little dial below the lens can control almost everything you could possibly need it to, and changing it's function is as simple as pushing in on it and selecting what you want to control from the menu that pops up.

I find it extremely odd that you do not think the NX30 is delivering good stabilization. Are you sure you have ACTIVE mode on? When you look at the front of the camera, and move it around a bit, is the lens moving around independently from the camera body (ie, BALANCED MODE is active)?

When Sony's "Balanced Mode" active Steady Shot is operating correctly, there isn't another camera in the world more stable. You have to move up to a "SteadyCam" type device to outperform Balanced Steady Shot. Seriously...
