HVX202 and M2: Commercial

I wish I could take the credit for the great work people are doing using the HVX M2 combo, but I only hustle the gear.

The M2 is one of the most fun tools we now have in our inventory and matched with the HVX, clients are doing some great work.

That is really well done indeed. So clean and smooth. Great match cuts. Image looks impecably clean and clear edge to edge... How does it look full sized HD? Do you have some samples... Looks sweet!

The commercial was made by the producer of the BoyBand music clip and utilised the M2 with PL mount and Zeiss Super Speeds. It goes to air Sunday night in NZ, TV3.

Because of the commercial nature of the clip and talent involved I doubt screen grabs will be a possibility for the net.

New Zealand does not have digital or HD broadcasting. I'll check what he delivered the master on. May have gone to HDCAM and taken a digibeta from that, but more than likely just mastered to digibeta. Shot 1080, cut in FCP.

Looks great.. Tell the DP to get his butt on here and tell us how he got perfect EDGE to EDGE FOCUS!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

I'm getting really good edge-to-edge sharpeness too. It's just a matter of finding the sweet spot. I've got my whole rig marked now and can have it set up and backfocused in about 5-7 minutes (with follow focus and matte box). It's a combination of the M2 being in the right spot on the rails, and the zoom and focus set to the "magic" numbers. The new HD acromat may help as well.
