HI All,

I'm a really newbie and I've just bought a beatifull HVX, that I love!
I've just only a doubt: In my HVX200 manual white balance is perfect but it gives a warm and coloured picture respect the 5.6k preset, Is this normal?
I have some test, if someone could give me an help I will send some frames directly.
Thanks a lot
Paul

Ciao Paul,

Its page 38 of your manual, should explain everything...!

Enjoy the hvx with the great light of roma, ive been there in april for one month with the cam and will be back in autumn..let me know if there are still questions, also barry explains that quite well in his book..!

Hi Germanboy,
Thanks a lot! I'm very happy that you'be been here and you'll be back in the next few months. Maybe we could drink a good beer together in Piazza Navona when you will be here.
About the white balance: Sure I've read all the user manual; generally I've noticed that the HVX returns a warm picture when the WB is manually set. Even yours?
I've just finished some interviews where I need the face coloured correctly.
However, I'm going to post some sample to understand where I'm making mistakes.
Thanks
and Arrivederci!
Paul

Hey Paul,

beer sounds nice, what about a cool moretti?
Piazza Navona is of course one of my favorites...lets see..!

Barrys book got good points about white balance, i have to admit that i havent tried much with the white balance, cause the camera girl did all the work...but i am increasing my skills!

Note that your other settings like "color temo" wount work if you use "prst" in white balance....maybe you can post the pics and we can talk about it more..you can also pm me if you want.

I think the preset is between 3200 and 5600...i have to re-read to tell you exactly..!

There is also a skin-toe setting, specially for some of your interview situations..!
