HVX200A workflow on the field questions

Hi everybody I'm a new cinematographer and also new member of this great community and need some help!
I'm about to shoot my first feature in January and need some workflow advices:
I want to use two external monitors, one HD on camera and another (doesn't particular need to be HD) for the director.
I don't have the monitors right now to do any testing but I'm thinking about buying the IKAN V-800HD for the camera and an LCD 30" HDTV for monitoring composition but after seeing the back of the Ikan monitor, there isn't an HDMI output on it. Is this the only way to output HD from the HVX200a on the fly? And also does that monitor outputs while it inputs?
I would like to know what other people are doing or recommend me to do in my situation. (my budget for this issue is around 1300$)

I want to shoot in 1080 24pa for best quality but for some scenes I'd like to be able to use slowmo 720p also. Would that be possible without significantly affecting picture quality difference in the final post?

The next question I've posted on the Redrock M2 forum but that forum seems to be pretty dead right now so maybe someone here can help:

I'd like to know what kind of scene file settings would work best with the M2 in terms of picture quality. I hear cinelike D gives you a more cinematic/bigger gamma range look but with more noise and cinelike V gives less gamma range and less noise and bla bla bla but those are directed towards using the camera by it self so I would like to know how the more experienced people are managing this area with the M2 attached to it? I've just got my HVX.
That's it for now guys, I hope you can help me with if not all, but some of my questions and I will be much appreciated!
