Hi there, I would sincerely appreciate if anyone out there is willing to help me troubleshoot the following issue.
I just purchased a (used) HVX200A w/ 16GB P2. I have shot some test footage in 720p/24p, and when it comes time to transfer to my macbook pro, absolutely nothing happens. Like the instructions suggest, I connect the firewire cable to the camera and computer before turning the camera on. I then switch to MCR which brings up the thumbnail view. I have installed the newest panasonic P2 Snow Leopard drivers. Disk utility shows nothing, and Final Cut Pro is unable to recognize the device. I was worried that the port might be damaged, but in my system profiler, HVX200 DOES show up under FireWire. My camera is updated to version 4.07-00-0.00. I have tried the same thing on a second macbook pro from the same generation, and likewise it does not mount.
Is there a known issue regarding the new macbook pros connecting to the HVX200A, or am I doing this completely wrong?
Thanks to anyone willing to read all that and comment.
