HVX200a grey screen?

Hello all...I just purchased a BStock HVX200a and it shipped in today. Mostly used in demos/tradeshows I've been told. It looks to be in perfect condition, not a scratch on it. It has 0 hours on it so I'm thinking I got a pretty good deal. I am curious though...I've noticed in the viewfinder and screen that when I turn the camera off it will go from picture to a grey screen...then power off. Likewise when I turn it on I'll see a white screen momentarily then picture. Again this in both the viewfinder and LCD screen of the camera. I've operated HVX 200a's probably at least a couple dozen times on other shoots, but I'm not sure if I've ever noticed this happening before with other models. I have 7 days to return in the event I find a problem with the camera. Anybody ever encounter this before? I appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Later in this message I will use the words 'auto exposure'. I mean 'black balance'. I can't edit that section since the text editor on this site no longer seems to be working for me. Now here's the message. If this is the same thing I'm thinking of, the camera auto exposure balances every time you turn it off. I don't remember exactly how that works, it's been a while since I've used one. The white screen is more likely just a placeholder while the system boots. Nothing to worry about. It would either be that or a logo.
