Hello to all!

has anyone had the same problem as me with the hvx200a?
DUST in the lens, in the front part of the lens, i have only had the camera for under 7morths now.
i have bine filming for over 14 years now AND NEVER had this happen with my cameras since now! (hvx200a)

i DO NOT FILM in DUSTY places at all, i try ever hard to keep my camera clean at all .times. Since i have had my hvx200a i have bine filming stock footage foristockvideo and pond5

CAN THERE BE SOMTHING WRONG WITH THE LENS ON THE CAMERA?
Can there be a defect with the camera?

the dust is all on the left side of the lens.
would this pass on the panasonic warranty???

It's my understanding the lens is not a sealed element. I had this happen twice with my DVX-100. I had a Mack warranty and it was covered both times.

Don't feel bad. I once had a grain of rice pop up behind my lens in a GL2. NEVER had that thing anywhere near a bag of rice. I sent it in to canon for some other issue and they paid me back for shipping with no mention of the obvious friggin grain of RICE sitting right behind the lens, which they most certainly removed. Almost like they'd seen it before. True story.

Edit: that sounds like some sort of twisted thinly veiled racist joke, but it's not.

i can't find any posts on lens de-dusting or minimal disassembly
Time to make yourself famous in the forum world :D

If the idea of unscrewing things, working on them and then screwing them back in terrifies you, then just send it in for a cleaning. If not, go for it. I'm sure you won't be the last person with this issue and whatever you discover could help other folks out.

I just did a search with 'lens disassembly' and the search engine locked up.
