I got the blinking 1 & 2 in p2 mode problem. Just sent it to Panasonic for a repair. They said they had to replace the PC board and a ribbon. Cost me $780 for repairs. Seems a little pricey. They said the PC board might of been damaged due to moisture, but always been kept in a case. Does this all sound right? $780 for repairs?

Yes, that sounds right. The board itself is around $470, and if you figure a little under four hours of labor for the repair, $780 is pretty spot on.
It could have been something else, but if the camera was never exposed to water, maybe humidity caused a moisture problem? Most hard cases are water-tight and would hold moisture in as well as out.
