HVX200 won't read firestore or SD card or USB?

Hello,

I am stumped on this one. I was on a shoot yesterday with my HVX200 (shooting with a firestore). I was with another HVX200 shooter shooting a live event. When the the shoot was halfway finished, i had dumped my footage to the clients hard drive with no problem. The other HVX200 shooter was unable to dump his footage etc. In the process of attempting to output his p2 card footage to a hard drive he

A) put a p2 card in my camera and attempted to output through the firewire port with no success.

and

B) attempted to daisy chain through my firestore.

When the 2nd half of the live event was supposed to commence, my camera is no longer able to read my firestore. I have now gone through the menu, and everything is correct. I have tried to connect the camera through the USB port, and the computer will not recognize it. I have attempted to put in new filmware via a SD card, and the camera will not go over to PC mode when i hit the mode button.

What is wrong? What did this kid press that screwed things up? I am beyond stumped. I even hit reset on the camera and ditto for the firestore - still nothing. Anyone ever have this happen to them?
 
If you go into the menu and go to option 9, other settings, make sure the firewire option is set for output, you might have it set to USB or something else, make sure control is set to both and the firewire camera set as host. This should allow the camera to output footage through firewire, unless the actual port is blown, which it does happens. If that is the case you'll have to send the camera to a service centre and get it changed...

Yeah that is correct. Is it something that the operator did in the p2 card p2 settings? He was trying to output a p2 card via the firewire. Nothing is set to USB etc. I just never had a problem with the port, and why would it stop working when it was perfectly fine 5 minutes ago. I have been sitting with this thing for hours trying to figure it out. Ugh, driving me nuts. Any more suggestions?
