HVX200 w/ G5 tower

I have a powerbook and a G5 tower, if I were to get this camera I would be able to get footage off the P2 cards no problem with my powerbook. What accessory would I need in order to use them with my G5 since it has no PCMIA card slot?

I link my two computer together via firewire and then drag them over just like a harddrive to your tower. Or you can get a PCMIA reader that will attach to your tower. Or you can dump from the camera to a harddrive and then dump the drive to your tower.....or you could. Actually there are a lot of ways to do it. If you search the forum you can come up with even more.

If you have a powerbook and a tower you should be just fine. Make sure to have a couple extra firewire drives around. I love my tiny little bus-powered firelite drive by Smartdisk. 80 gigs in the palm of my hand. Also check out the new Firestore coming out in spring for the HVX

You could network the two via ethernet or using a firewire cable. Very easlly done.

Just put the camera in host mode and connect to the G5 through firewire.

Anyone know of any good PCMCIA Type II readers to buy (and for hopefully relatively cheap) to attach via firewire or Usb2.0 to a laptop to dump the P2 cards to?
