Got it, Simon. Thanks for the detailed response. Yes, the DSR450 has both 24P and 24PA (2-3-3-2) pull-down modes. And yes, I would be shooting at the 180-degree shutter equivalent of 1/48th pretty much 100% of the time. And I certainly won't mind going to +3 or +6dB, on occassion, when I need it--I know the camera's pictures are pretty darn clean. I just read up on the whole 4:1:1 vs. 4:2:2 sampling deal. Not as bad as I thought, actually. At least it's cleaner than analog BetacamSP. Thanks again for all your input!
