HVX200 unresponsive

I have an hvx200 and suddenly I can´t access the menu or thumbnails. I can´t switch it to MCR/VCR either :furious3:

I can record, turn on zebra, OIS etc... Any ideas?
 
have you tried a hard reset of the camera to factory settings? If not or if you do with no results, you may have a bad circuit board

I believe I'm having the same problem, it boots up- runs, lets me record to the last setting (DV over 1394) but the menu button does nothing (except when holding the display button, though in spite seeing the menu, the navigation doesn't work) and I also can't switch modes do other things.

Mode button, thumbnail button- prettymuch every button on the top and back of the thing is non-functional!
It's not just the buttons, I've tried navigation with the remote... And I've tried the reset button on the side too...

It's something really bad. Any suggestions?

I don't want to be stuck with external mini-DV forever!
 
Don't understand why you made some of your text smaller.

It sounds like you need to take it in for repair.
 
I've had two HVX200s die. Both were completely unresponsive, not partially as you describe. Both needed to go back to the factory.
