HVX200 Tape Timecode Breaks

Unfortunately we are recording to tape for a client and discovering that there are constant breaks in the timecode when we stop and start recording.

Panasonic tapes. 24p. Head cleaner used.

Trying to label each tape with the Preset (hour). zeroed out (to keep the last digits :00 or :05). but it still gets off track.

Anybody deal with this.

I found out that after you set the time code with preset ( we were making each tape hour 1, 2 etc. to match tape #) you have to then switch back to regen so everytime you stop and start the timecode won't break. Seems like a very lame function of this camera when in tape mode and not explained at all in the manual......
