I got an HVX200 for free but it probably hasn't been turned on for months. When I connect it to the ac adapter it takes a half a minute or so to turn on. After that, I could turn it off and turn it on right away. Is that normal?
The Panna cams have an internal battery that may have discharged over the storage period. This battery powers some of the internal memory, calender-clock, etc. If this is dead, the extra time to boot up may be because the cam has to do more work than normal to boot. If you plug the camera into the battery eliminator connected to your charger, it will charge. There is some info about this in your manual.
