Oh my god, let the blood letting begin. You need to run, run as fast as you can. You don't understand what happens to noobs around here. Oh god I can't look. . ok maybe just a peak :)

.. the straw bent... but did not break. you must be flexible young grasshopper. learn to take the form of the situation you are put into...like water fills a glass. ..water is soft, but will not be compressed.

..now take this hot bowl of coals to the top of the mountain using only your eyelids.. when you get there.. you will be blind and badly burned.. it will be funny... years later you will laugh about it.. in the asylum.

comedic entertaiment value at the expense of the new guy seems cruel,. . unless of course, the "new guy" is someone else, . .then by all means. . lets put shards of glass on the path up the mountain. . now that's good times.

Okay, Im nice... normally wrong, but nice:)

There is no HDV on the HVX, all recording is intraframe DV or DVCPRO or DVCPRO HD.

DVCPRO can be recorded ONLY to P2 cards or an external intelligent device, like a laptop, not just a standard hard drive. Tape can only carry a standard DV stream.

We are yet to see the finished camera, so can't judge what it is like with or without the P2 cards, but it should be a good 16:9 Mini-DV camera without, with the option to upgrade to a very cheap 720p, 1080i & 1080p camera by adding P2 (or other external device). I think that people are expecting/hoping for a camera that produces results of higher quality than the Sony Z1/FX1 or JVC HD100. First footage expected in two weeks.

Hehehe. I'm new but not real new, but can tell you that most members of this forum know far more than I. Just the thoughts of being flamed for a really dumb question have made me quite circumspect around here.:cheesy:

HOWEVER, I do think some of these posters need to read the "Established Info." sticky. If I'm getting irritated (not necessarily at this thread), then it's definitely a frivolous post!!
