hvx200 sd 24p canon xl h1 sd 24f mix

Hello:

I have a two camera shoot coming up were i will be using both the Hvx200 and Canon Xl h1. I will be using 24p (canon 24f) sd mode. I have never used the canon xl h1 and was wondering would i be able to splice the footage together with the hvx200 and get a similar result. Between the xl h1 and hvx200 would there be a significant difference (in sd 24p-f mode) in terms of color, resolution, gamma, 24p-f image, overall image. If anyone has worked with both camorders or been in this situation please respond.

Are you shooting the same material at the same time with both cameras? Or, are you using one camera to shoot one thing, and the other to shoot something else? I have seen footage from both (thought I haven't worked with both) and I suspect shooting the same stuff with the two cameras will be tricky. Good luck, and please report back on your findings whatever the case may be.
 
Shooting SD with both? I can match these cameras really close, did it in 2 shoots last week...

If you're going to mini-DV tape (thus not using the HVX200's DVCPro50), then it'll mostly come down to how well you can tweak the XLH1's settings to get the typical HVX look (or vice versa). Technically they're pretty much the same on min-DV.
