HVX200 scene file vs recording setup adjustments

Hey everyone, just picked up an HVX and I've been reading through Barry's HVX book. One question I had that I could not solve through reading the book was how the final image is adjusted by switching frame rates through one menu or another. Ideally, I would like to shoot 720P for higher shutters and 1080i for slower. I did not see an option for resolution adjustment in the scene file options and found that when switching between scene files, resolution did not change in the rec. setup menu.

So my questions would be: how does adjusting resolution in the recording setup menu adjust the scene file, and is there any way to specifically set certain scene files to shoot at 720P vs 1080i?

The frame rate and scene files are adjusted separately. Within the frame rate options, you also have the choice between shooting a specific shutter speed or degrees, which is well explained in Barrys book. You did mention shooting interlaced which wouldn't be the strong suit of the Panny cams; progressive will be the happy place.

In brief, no. The scene files don't include (so don't save/restore) recording mode information.
