HVX200 Rebate?

I bought an HVX200 in August and submitted the rebate mid-August. It's been over 3 months and I still haven't received it. I called them like 5 times already and every time they say "it's being processed, we don't know when it will be mailed."

Has anyone else had rebate problems?

They are acknowledging that they received your paperwork. That is a good thing. I don't know if you did this or not, but it's good to send rebates in with delivery confirmation so you can have a date and person's name to use when calling and checking up. Keep track of the date and name of the person you talk to when you call, each time you call. It shows them that you are keeping up and putting them to the task, but it is also a personal touch when calling because in the end these people are humans and they do get pounded with requests for money all day. At various times I know the rebate center upgraded software and there is occasional employee turn over. It stinks that you have to baby sit the rebate but once I had someone call me about a JVC camera I had sold him 1 YEAR after he filed the rebate claim. There was nothign to do at that point.

As much as I've grown to like Panasonic, I gotta admit their rebate process has fallen short of perfect. :(
Hang in there. They will eventually get there. But it does help to stay in touch about once a month.
 
Thanks guys, I'll try calling again tomorrow, and maybe ask to speak to a supervisor or something. Hopefully I'll get somewhere. Normally I wouldn't care as much about a rebate, but it's an extra $400 and times are tough.
 
is that a general rebate with all hvx 200a's? or something special...i was thinking about buying one from b and h but didn't see any rebate info

Update: So I finally got a rebate in the mail, and low and behold, they sent me the wrong rebate - Instead of sending me the HVX rebate they sent me a DVX100b rebate which is $150 less than what I should have received. So I called them up and they said that they would send me the rest; we'll see.
