HVX200 problem - uneven color. Help.

I have been shooting some white limbo sets and have noticed an uneven color cast from my HVX200 even after white balancing.

This is occurred in two different studios under various lighting conditions (different sources, but not mixed sources).

in all cases there is a magenta cast on screen left, the center looks white, and there is a green cast on screen right.

it's much more noticeable in wider shots.

The last test I did under house lights (flo's). Zoomed in all the way, WB'ed off the white cyc wall, then pulled back wide. Same results.

has anyone encountered this before? any ideas as to whether it's electronics or something I am doing wrong?

Thanks for your help,
E

If I can figure out how to put up a screen grab I will.

Were you or are you able to shoot the same scene with the same lighting on a different camera and compare?

I have shot the same scene (a blank, white, wall) in different locations with the same camera - but not yet one scene with two cameras.

When troubleshooting, you always need to eliminate variables. If you could shoot the same scene with a different camera and the scene looked fine, that would eliminate the location or your lighting as variables and would probably point toward your camera as the issue.

Once you isolate the issue as your camera is causing it, then you could begin to figure out if your camera was actually broken or if it is user error.

here is a still from an HPX500 - same wall, same lighting, same position

Just thinking I could have tried WB'ing as wide as possible instead of zoomed in - I'm just used to small white cards. I have other examples of the same look from the HVX200 in other studios, but only one camera to test with there.

Any ideas?
