HVX200 prize?

How much is that new HVX200 going to cost approx? I've read about under $6000? Is it then about 5000,- in EUROS?

I'm just thinking the difference between DVX100a and HVX200. If I get also 16:9 lens for DVX100a then it's going to be about 4000-4500,- EUR in total...so the difference would not be so much compared to the new HVX200...

I think I'm going to give a second thought of getting a HVX200 instead of DVX100...

Yes thats what we are hearing at the moment but i am not sure about the prices for Europe or UK they are generaly higher than just a $ - £ converting as import tax is a lot higher here comparing to USA. I am not too sure of the PAL specs as most of there are other differences rather than just PAL or NTSC like in the case of JVC HD100u they call it JVCHD100e here and is only HDV/DV OUT where as the US model is both IN & OUT.

Well if you can wait another 5-6 months why not. If you really need a camera now you can buy the DVX but as every one will tell you its worth waiting for the HVX to come out. It looks promising and you will not be dissapointed.

If any one know the spec on the PAL model and any differences on PAL & NTSC HVX200 it would be nice of you to share.

Thanks

Last announcement from Panasonic at NAB still indicates an anticipated price of approximately $6,000USD for the camera alone or $9,000-$10,000USD bundled with two 8GB P2 cards. Still nothing more official that has been announced so the assumption is that those prices are still pretty much in line.

As Raza said, it is still some time away. If you have the opportunity for a paying job before then, it might make sense to purchase the DVX and if you still feel you need/want the HVX when it comes out, sell the DVX package and jump on it!

...just my 1.85 cents plus tax

Yeah, thanks guys, really useful info there! Just what I wanted to know.

Yeah, I think I "can" wait...I think it will be worth of it!
