HVX200 + Preview Monitor

I'm looking at renting an HVX200 for my next short film, but I'm curious about the preview monitor.

What kind of output do I need to see what is truely being recorded? What outputs does the HVX200 have?

Does anyone have a good place where I can rent an HVX200 and a preview monitor for an ultra low budget (Read: Enough for lights, camera, sound and food) in the Southern California (Hollywood/Burbank/Glenade/etc) area?

The HVX200 has a component video output that can output 480, 720p and
1080i.

The only place I know that's good and has HVX is Wintech near you in Sherman
Oaks. Sometimes they'll work with you.

We're up in NorCal .. otherwise I'd help ya out.

The HVX200 has a component output (Y, Pb, Pr) for analog HD. It also outputs via the 1394 to an application like HDRack (Adobe OnLocation) or composite video via the RCA connector.
