HVX200 P2 USB Transfer

Howdy folks, normally I'd be using a Windows machine for P2 transfer... the deal is I'm at my friend's and he's on a Macintosh (x86) machine and we've got an HVX200AP, a few P2 cards, but no card reader... i recall in the past the USB connection working for P2 transfer but I can't quite get the device to show up as a mass storage device on this Mac... any ideas?
help would be greatly appreciated!

Try firewire transfer instead; put it in 1394 DEVICE mode and see if that works.

unfortunately i don't believe we have access to a firewire cable at the moment

yes, but that's all you need (and the only way you can in your situation). you don't need drivers or anything. just connect firewire to the camera, turn it on, go to PC mode, and watch the P2 card(s) mount. As Barry said, first put camera in 1394 Device mode.
