HVX200 P2 footage can't be seen on PC but recording is good.

I recorded a Concert with a 8GB and a 16GB P2 card these are the original cards R types I think. I can see and play back the footage on the HVX200 form both cards.

When I hook the HVX via Firewire the PC I can't see either card. When I put the 8GB card into the pcmcia slot of a XP laptop I can see it, and copy footage onto a HD.

The 16GB card can not be seen, yet, again, I can play it on the Camera.

On PC's, connect the camera via USB instead of Firewire.

Make sure you have Panasonic's P2 driver installed.
