I was wondering.. is it not a little early to jump on the HVX200 wagon? From all the hype it seems like a great camera and the future is HD and all that.
But HD and Blueray is still a little off, memory in form of P2 cards are incredibly expensive and you just get a few minutes pr. card and it seems there are tons of trouble with the PC platforms working with the HVX200 not to mention the fact the P2 cards and the HVX200 should be lower in price in a couple of years.
If one has loads of money and like to go around parading the new digital toy of tomorrow, then fine, but for the rest of us regular joes, who don't have excess $ to spend, wouldn't it be better to wait till the HVX has gotten over its "children diseases"?
Another thought is, despite how great the DVX has been for independent filmmakers, I wonder if the HVX can live up to it when HD becomes a reality. Isn't this just an intermediate product to lead us to the next real HD camera once HD is really widespread or will the HVX be as lasting as the DVX?
I am only wondering as I might want a second cam and as it is I see the another DVX100 might just be the best decision despite it all... ...
