HVX200 - No audio on internal or external mics

Strange problem with my HVX... no matter what the combination of pot levels, switch selection, or mic input, I can't get any audio to record to P2 or even show up in the monitor as registering. Any thoughts?
 
If you are recording in one of the variable frame rates available in 720p other than the default rates you will not record any audio. For example, if you're set to 720/24p or pN but have the frame rate menu selection to 48fps (overcranking) or 12fps (undercranking) then no audio will be recorded.
