HVX200 mounted on a Bicycle

man, you're insane - i always was expecting some major accident - to the cam of course... ;) but looks nice!

I'll try to get the director edition of the stickypod + adaptor so I get a more stable... and SECURE setup ;)

It was just an idea of how it would look... but mount need to be improved.

A stable image would have created great footage. I'll try to next time...
 
Nice try and nice to know there's someone in Montreal that own the HV200. I just sent you an email. Post some footage when you'll have a more stable image. I think it's very creative.
 
I wont lie - I was totaly expecting to see the ground go suddenly upside down as it bounced off the mount and hit the ground. :)

were you using the thread on the bottom to mount? or a series of ties?
 
hehe, It didnt happen, and I am happy about it.

The camera was attached by the top thread. The stickypod was attached to the bike with ALOT of tieraps
 
There seems to be alot of aliasing in the image. Is this due to compression? Surely the actual camera footage isn't like this.
 
Since the video wan't that great, the compression was lowered to keep the file to a resonable size(150MB) But it is at a low compression with alot of movements
 
That was very cool.

How did you compress it and to what settings/levels/format? (Sorrly, a little new at this and I'm not sure of the proper terminology).

How did you post it on the web page to make it fill the whole page like that?
 
Compression is nothing special, basic Avid quicktime export ettings.

As for web, since I didnt put it into a HTML code with defined size, if your browser have quicktime integrated, it will show it in full screen.

I see, so the image is just that big in the first place.


What settings did you use? When I've been exporting from FCP, I choose to export to Quicktime and always keep the settings the same as I have no idea what's good for a DVD much less a web site.

For the web, I've been reloading into iMovie and using their settings which don't look great, but I'm not sure what I should be choosing from FCP or Compressor.
 
well avid quicktime exporter suck... I can't specify the exact resolution and give him a 16x9 aspect ratio. It work sometime, but not with all Video Player (including my favorite VLC).
 
Very gutsy. Had me on the edge of my seat all the way. Loved the title of the mov file. One thing I noticed is that the back rim of the wheel had the same purple abberation (at least at the beginning) I saw in my owl footage (Renaissance Faire piece). Not as prominent, but there it was. I wonder what parameters require it to show up?
 
Not sure... I dont recall what setting it was on.

I had more footage, even more scary is the part on another tape when you see the camera actually rotate 360 while Im pedaling at 28km/h ;)

On that footage you actually saw the camera lost it original position.
