Hello, if i shoot 720p 23.98 on my hvx200 how can i monitor from a finalcutpro timeline. do I need a blackmagic or aja card. I plan on buying a component crt but it is 60i i think? so will the card cross convert or whatever to the monitor specs. If anyone could answer this i would greatly appreciate it. I talked the blackmagic and decklink guys and they said it is imossible to monitor 720p 23.98. Do I need one of the new jvc monitors or what. Please inform me thank you:crybaby:

If you want to monitor HD on a CRT monitor, you will need the Blackmagic card or an AJA card or HD I/O and a HD CRT monitor. They are very expensive. If you just need to monitor and not do any major color correction, then a cheaper route is to use the DVI out of the mac to an LCD or Plasma screen that is capable of displaying a 720p image. There are a lot of options for under $1000.

yeah, but what about the whole 720p 23.98 thing. none of the products on blackmagics site offer 720p 23.98 only 60p. Are aja cards different, more reliable.
Again i want to monitor on a crt through component but i guess that is not really possible.
