Hvx200 Host Mode Questions

Hello, NOBODY from my local panasonic dealer can answer this. First can you offload p2 cards directly to a usb external drive in host mode or is that for firewire only? Second if it is possible is the hvx200's mini usb port bus powerd? Like could i plug a cheap WD passport type drive into it that uses usb to power itself? THANKS if anyone can help!
 
IEEE HOST mode -- not surprisingly -- is for Firewire only. If you want to use USB, you need a USB OTG (On The Go) drive.
