Hi!
So what is the deal with FCP6 not supporting 24P pulldown removal?
I understand from the docs that you need to shoot PA in order for
FCP to do this automagically. Otherwise you need to use Cinema Tools
to get a 24P clip.
I have shot some footage in 108024P and it only plays nice in a 60i
timeline. Since the resolution is higher in 1080 the footage looks
smoother but its a little hard to tell if I'm getting the benefits of
24P. I have set the HVX 200 108024P and recording to FS-100 v.3 Firmware. So if I'm understanding things correctly, this should be the same as shooting on a DVX-100B going to tape then using a 60i timeline.
Is the only reason to use a 24 timeline if you are going back to film?
Appreciate any clarifications.
