[WTB] HVX200 for 2000.00

[Vonzager]

I am film student looking for an HVX200 (a or not) before the End of June, $2500.00-$2000.00 range. I would like to shell out for one with the operation time under 200 hours but I figure that is going to bump it up to like $3000.00 in which I am no shape to throw money at now. So I would like to know what is a respectable amount of hours would be on this camera for said asking price. I would like the camera to at least come with a p2 card if it is possible and fair.

I grew tired of using the DVX and I want to see what the HVX has in store.

It would be fast to email me rather then PM

Here's hoping!

The hours are of little consequence unless you are going to use the DV tape feature often. Solid state electronics do not wear out with a lot of use. Check ebay completed auctions for the camera without a lot of accessories and you will get an idea what the market is.

What about hour of operation? Does that play a big factor if the owner keeps it maintained?

Talk to this person.

It's got more hours than you're looking for, but as mainstreet said, the hours are of little concern especially if you're using the HVX primarily for P2.

I tried to contact him earlier today and I am still waiting for his response. I've been on the hunt since 8am today and tried to contact the people I could, but now I will have to play the waiting game on some. Thanks for the helpful information and the leads you filled me in on.

Oops, I didn't even notice that you had posted in that thread! Good luck with your hunt!

I have an HVX 200A no more then 5 hours on it a 32 and 16 GBP2 Card as well as the Encore I want to sell it so I can get a Mark II package with lenses Im looking to get around 5,000 for everything but would be willing to see what you might offer for just the camera. It is so new I would have a hard time letting it go for under 3,500? Let me know what you think?
