Greetings all. This sort of thing might not be big news anymore (premieres of films shot on the HVX), but a feature doc I shot on the HVX200 will be premiering at the South by Southwest Film Festival on March 13th. Helvetica is a documentary about typography and graphic design, featuring some of the best designers on the planet. We shot it in eight countries last year, DP on the film was Luke Geissbuhler, who was also DP on Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat film. Needless to say, the Helvetica shoot was a little less chaotic...
The HVX and P2 workflow was smooth throughout. We're in the process of doing the online and color correct, and the images are fantastic (might be tough to tell from the small quicktimes on our site). The film will screen in about 100 cities worldwide this year, you can get more info or join the mailing list for screening dates here: http://www.helveticafilm.com
