HVX200 direct to disc with Liquid 7.2?

Hi,

I am new to this forum and to the HVX200. I just got it new on Tuesday.

Now my question: I am working with Liquid 7.2 and I would like to record directly from the HVX200 with Firewire and Liquid 7.2.

I will be filming in a studio on a tripod, so no moves with the camera. It will be a lot of material and this way I would like to skip the P2 card and the transfer process from P2 to harddisc.

It woks fine in the Tape mode. But then I only get DV quality. But would like to use the P2 settings and quality of th HVX200 and not only the DV quality.

Is there something I must regard, when the camera is in P2 mode, that I can record then the live stream? Liquid Recognizes the camera, but does not show a picture. When I switch to PC/Dub mode, I always get the comment: 1394 Disconnect.

So what Can I do, that this will work for me?
What settings must I have in the menu?

I would be glad, if someone could help me with this problem.

Thanks

In addition to the P2 problem, at the moment Liquid also cannot show a picture in the Tape position.

OK, I got a new fire wire board and now I can use the HVX200 in the
tape position. Life stream and from Tape with no problems together with Liquid 7.2.

But as soon as I switch into the P2 mode, Liquid does not show a picture.
Black only. Any ideas?

I don't think Liquid allows live capture in DVCPRO. 7.2 was supposed to have some P2 support, but that would mean shooting to the cards first and then importing the data.

Being in tape mode is just like using any other mini-DV camera.
