HVX200-Degraded Quality When Shooting DV25 on P2?

Sorry for the misinformation...you are correct. I guess the 3:2 and 4:3 is referring to the horizontal and vertical resolution of the screen.
DV can be widescreen 16:9 or standard 4:3, this is screen aspect ratio (frame aspect ratio, device aspect ratio) which is different from pixel aspect ratio. Both widescreen and 4:3 versions of DV (and of DVD-video) have the same number of pixels in frame.

Boy...did I miss the boat on this topic. Sorry. Thanks for clarifying Cranky and thanks for the excellent links discussing this. Dan.

so if i was just to shoot 480/30p and use it as cam A i should be ok since the vx2100 would be used for cam b just to get fill in footage. If i go with this set up using the hvx as my main camera i should not see any of the motion issues right? Again the vx2100 will be used as fill in footage only. hvx will be stationary for most part.
