HVX200 Component Cable?

I just received a short cable from www.digitalconnections.com for 25.00 although if you go that route (for an ob monitor, for ex.) you will need adapters as the ends are female rca (rather than the male on the stock cable).

We have 3rd party and originals in stock. For the 3rd party cables we have multiple lengths available.

No, I guess it's just a little bit more available than the Pana one...

In the end ... it's a cable, is it.

I was refering to the issue of breaking Pana component cables.
I was wondering if the Canon one was "harder to break".
For the price of these cables, I want to be sure it survives more than one day i the field...

Well when I take a close look at the picture on the BH site I'd say it's the same cable. It's not made by pana anyway I guess. Therefore: No it's not a better cable. Just another one.

the canon cable is alot longer, which is actually annoying since I use it with a marshal monitor mounted right next to the camera. It's also got gold connectors, so it's arguably a slightly "better" cable.

as far as quality goes, it has lasted me longer than the stock one, but not by much. it's the D4 connection that's so fragile- mine's not holding up and I'll be needing to buy my 3rd one soon!

got the answer on AVForums.com : '' The D-tanshi 'D4' connector outputs an Analogue Component (YPbPr) signal (up to 720p) on a single multipin connector - as such its not directly compatible with an all Digital HDMI Input socket. ''
