Roscor/ Discount Video Warehouse has a couple of HVX200's in stock right now available for purchase. Price is $5374. They also have 4 GB cards in stock for $650 each. Contact Lee Drady at 800-323-8148 ext 1372.

just talked to him and ordered some P2 cards at 650, cameras are around 5400. He is in Chicago.. .nice guy. . .

He has currently just sold the last one, untill the next shipment at the end of the month, but he has 4 gig cards.

Here are a couple of observations from making calls to dealers recently. I didn't talk to very many, so the sample size is small:

1) All dealers I talked to (even the smallest ones) received at least a couple of cameras.
2) The big broadcast-oriented dealers seem to have received much larger initial shipments than the big consumer/prosumer-oriented dealers.

Take these with a grain of salt, but if you're still hunting for a camera, they might provide you with some direction. By the way, I was told that there were 3,000 pre-orders for the camera in the U.S.

I'm always here lurking about.

I was on the verge of purchasing one from Omega. I mean like within the hour. They had it there waiting for me (it may still be there :happy: ). But they currently don't have any P2 cards to go with it.

Anyway, as it turns out I got a much better deal on the price of the camera with the P2 cards. Roscor is a certified dealer and Lee Drady was a pleasure to deal with.

Same thing happened to me! My local portland dealer had a camera with my name on it, ready for me to pick up, but no p2 cards. I was also on the waiting list at AVS for the package 1 hvx w/1 4gig card for a better deal. It was hard, but i told them no, and decided to wait for the one at AVS, and now I am waiting....
 
Lee (Roscor) also said he was given 35 and sold out immediately. He said his supplier said other dealers would be getting them within the next week, so he wanted to sell them at a reasonable price 'before the market was flooded with HvX200's' !

So maybe the flood is coming !
