HVX200 audio circuit dead. Please help.

We have a HVX200 that receives use by our students that shows no activity through its audio circuit. When I place both channel selects on INT(1) and INT(2) and turn the audio pots up all the way I get no indication of level on the level indicators and can hear nothing while monitoring through the headphone jack. Likewise, when I use a mic through the mic jacks, I get nothing.

Is there a menu setting somewhere that would lead to this condition? I've gone through every menu item and can't find anything. I also performed a system reset to no avail.

Anything else that might lead to this? Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Russ

Finally figured out someone had put the frame rate at 24fps in the 720PN/30P format in both Cine Scene files. Ugh. Is there anyway to totally reset all menus in this camera to factory default?

thanks.

Do the Cine scene files default to 24fps even when the camera is set to the 720P/30PN recording format? I'm trying to figure whether this is a feature or the camera is malfunctioning.

While in Cine V or Cine D scene files, if I manually set the frame rate for 30fps while in the 720P/30PN format and then turn the camera off, when turned back on it the frame rate reverts to 24fps. Shouldn't it stay where I set it?

If I Initialize the scene file, it again, reverts back to 24fps, even though the record mode is set to 720P/30PN. I suppose the Cine scene files also default to 24fps as part of the "Cine look," although it doesn't make sense to me, especially since this disables audio recording in the 720P/30PN format. If I wanted to record 24fps I'd record in the 720P/24PN format. Sorry if I am being dense here.

If so, I have to make myself custom scene files so I can use the cine gammas, cine matrix, etc., if I want to record 720P/30PN at 30fps.

On the HVX200, you have to save any changes you make to the scene files. It always reverts to the last saved state. So go to the load/save/init menu item and choose "save" and it'll stick.
